A Vocabulary Problem

Private Eye in the UK calls such broadcast verbal slips "Colemanballs" after a famous british sports journalist.

Do you remember that famous 'colemanball' of John Arlott (the late cricket commentator for the Beeb) who said 'for those of you just joining the programme let me bring you up to date and tell you that the Batsman is Holding ... the Bowler's Willey'
