The United States scored an impressive goal yesterday, when Columbia University's (much protested) invitation to President Ahmadinejad of Iran was not interfered with by the US government.
It was a glorious victory for the US system.
The Iranian President was allowed to speak and he hanged himself. It was an almost perfect demonstration of the virtue of allowing free speech.
Furthermore, as others have pointed out, Columbia itself, both facilitated the event, and bore witness.

Is your point that Bolly was simply rude? If so, I agree, but I don't see it as such a big problem in this case.
I say we should do this more often. Invite them over, insult them and then let them speak and make an ass out of themselves. Yes, he was invited, but he accepted the invitation and he should have known that he would not be getting a warm reception.
Also, slightly off topic here. Do you still have the stance that Hugo Chavez is not a dictator? Just curious.
