70,000 Iraqis would still be alive, maybe more. And many thousands would have now lost limbs.
2,600 American troops would still be alive, and thousands more would have limbs, eyes, and sanity.
There would be no incipient Iranian dominance in the region.
The US would not face charges of torture.
There would be no Shi'ite death squads in Baghdad.

But we would have less oil, and that is was what is really important, isn't?
And... There would not be 200,000 Assyrian Christian refugees in Syria and Jordan who have fled from forced Islamicization and Kurdish death squads.
As bad as Saddam was, as a secularist, he protected the Christians, Yezidis, Mandeans, and other non-Muslims. Women could go without hijab, and there were bars and dance clubs in most Iraqi cities. Under Bush's new Islamic Iraq all that has been suppressed.
And nothing for republicans to campaign on...
